hi im doing good just not sleeping very good these days TT the weather's been KILLING me (global warming be upon us) also i changed the weekly song thing to currently listening for my blogs because.. i wasn't expecting to write blogs THIS frequently (of course, knowing myself i will get burnt out BUT that's for another time) i've recently slowed down my website updates bc my holidays are almost over (NOOO) and im cramming all that work i was supposed to do... (bad student) but here i am writing another blog. its fun idk (im gonna be SUCH an html master when i get back mwahahahahahhaaha) recently i've also been considering doing a blog but in japanese. i haven't been studying it as diligently as i want to be lately so maybe something like this could help. its gonna be tough but we'll see how it goes?? anyways into the blog!!!

currently rereading in ascension by martin macinnes which i might've mentioned in passing in my first blog!! this time im annotating it too; its the first book im annotating! i found out that book paper isn't very good for writing on lol.. as u might not be able to see in the image above i may or may not be going overboard with my annotations. im used to having to annotate texts and unpack every single words' meaning and connotations in the context of the story (okay not every single one) sooo naturally im gonna feel like every page needs THIS much annotation although. it has 496 pages. if i keep this up i might not finish by the next 2 years TT (actually) i've always had this mindset of preserving my books' conditions but recently i've decided nah who cares. hopefully this'll allow me to reflect on a book better :3 i HAVE read this book before so i'm curious to see if i gain anything new from annotating my second read

i definitely have to write a book review sometime. for fans of the martian and armageddon and all those other space movies, this is for u <3 for anyone else it's a great read, the writing style is superb so go ahead and try it out if u can and if you're willing. my dad bought me this book last year and it's been one of my favourite books since then. he was the one who introduced me to space (movies) as a kid so this all feels very nostalgic. when i was reading through this the first time i definitely felt that nostalgia anyways i don't want to write a review now because it's been uhh. nearly a year since i read it the first time so naturally i'm gonna forget about some stuff. hopefully i'll be able to finish this but seeing how packed my schedule is uhh lets just say i might not finish this by this year. oops

its SO fun to read. the drawings and dialogue cracked me up so many times idk how i didn't think to read this earlier. i did see the vomic on youtube at some point but never thought to watch it??? like why am i so not adventurous???
after reading chapter 4 (the chapter the vomic covers) i went straight to yt just to watch it. im a SUCKER for voice actors and u cant stop me when nobuhiko AND uchiyama are in the same cast TT i love them sooo much.. the whole cast really did a good job w this one i especially think masuda's voice really fits tamon's character. gahh can u tell im overenthusiastic abt voice acting. anyways
the characters' personalities really remind me of those from boukyaku battery tbh /pos they're so crazy and i live for it
im not finished with it yet.. still on chapter 11 as of writing orz each chapter is longer than im used to but idm <3 (i mean. who'd complain??)
writing this blog has made me realise that in addition to "conscious" and "opportunity" i also struggle with spelling "ascension" the first try. what is this. i swear it was easier than abc before this
